Experience
Kathrine has been tasked with and successful in solving legal issues related to real property title, neighbour disputes and the lending and recovery of security including strata lien enforcement.
She is well seasoned in advocating for her clients, whether it be within a contract or settlement negotiation or at a mediation or arbitration.
Along with advising and providing legal advice to her clients, Kathrine has appeared extensively before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia on a range of legal issues. Kathrine has also assisted her clients with matters before the Civil Rights Tribunal, the Employment Standards Board and the Human Rights Tribunal.

Personal
Outside of the office Kathrine has an interest in interior design, learning calligraphy and immersing herself in some non-law related reading.
In 2018 and 2019 our Strata had two CRT claims filed against it. We engaged Kathrine Uppal to help us refute the claims. Although CRT regulations do not permit a lawyer to submit a response to a claim, Kathrine was extremely helpful in advising us. She guided us in selecting, organizing and submitting our evidence and in responding to the complainants’ evidence. She met with us several times and helped us draft our responses. She was able to assist us in having both claims dismissed by the CRT Tribunal. Kathrine made herself available whenever we needed her, even on weekends or in response to last minute pleas. She was always friendly, direct and professional, and we were very grateful for her assistance.
