Experience
Matthew has appeared before the superior and provincial courts of both British Columbia and Alberta, and has represented clients before various administrative tribunals, including the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, British Columbia Civil Resolution Tribunal, British Columbia Residential Tenancy Branch, College of Alberta Psychologists, and Alberta Insurance Council. In addition, he has provided counsel at arbitrations, mediations, and settlement conferences.
In his strata property practice, Matthew regularly advises strata councils and owners with respect to all manner of operating strata corporations in accordance with the ever-evolving legal landscape.
Should his strata property clients find themselves involved in disputes, Matthew provides experienced legal counsel, whether before the courts, Civil Resolution Tribunal, or any other venue.

Background
Matthew received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 2004 and his Juris Doctor in 2010, both from the University of British Columbia. During law school, he earned several legal scholarships and awards, and volunteered with the U.B.C. Law Students Legal Advice Program, the U.B.C. Law Review, and Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver.
Before embarking upon his practice in law, Matthew worked in several key industries, gaining expertise on the inner workings of port authorities, universities, municipal governments, and sports organizations. In addition, he taught a course in strategy designed to prepare students for the Law School Admission Test, and owned and operated a painting franchise.
Matthew joined Access Law Group after developing his skill set at large national and international law firms in Vancouver and Calgary.
